The frustrating part of school is that you may go to the exam with a confidence that you know the most of the material, and that you will do very well. But then you are walking out of that exam with a feeling that much more studying could be done, and that "I know the material" was very deceitful feeling.
This is what I felt yesterday after a Corporate Tax exam. No, I am sure that I did not fail. But, damn, I could do better.

According to the Webster Dictionary "alien" is one "not belonging to the same country, land, or government, or to the citizens or subjects thereof; foreign..." I was born and grew up in Eastern Europe and several years ago moved to the US.
I graduated from a US law school and received my LL.M in Taxation degree afterwards. Now I work as a tax attorney in a small law firm. My field of practice is tax resolution. I love my work, even though sometimes it is quite tough.
This blog is a place to express my thoughts primarily about my life and my emotions (which I have in abundance). In this blog I also try to dissolve the stream of my personal thoughts with articles about law and self-improvement.
